Niambe McIntosh, Peter Tosh's daughter and estate administrator, announced that April 20 will be celebrated annually as Peter Tosh Day. Less known than Bob Marley, his compatriot in The Wailers, Peter Tosh was an integral member to the group's success. In the group's genesis, Tosh was the only person who knew to play an instrument. He played the piano and the guitar. This inspired the other group members to learn to play instruments as well.
