Dunn's River Falls and Park is approximately 1 1/2 hour away from Montego Bay. The geographical setting at Dunn's River features a waterfall and beach. This phenomenon in itself is quite impressive and unique. Waterfalls tend to originate inland at the early stages of a river as opposed to the seaside like Dunn's River. Touted as the battle ground of "Los Chorreras" fought between the English and Spanish in the 17th century, the site presents an exciting blend for nature lovers and history buffs. There is a picnic area and Craft Market if you wish to purchase souvenirs. This attraction is one of the most visited in Jamaica so if you prefer to do when it is not as busy plan on doing so on a Friday.
